Introduction
This page describes the public website and the independently operated open-source edition. The separate FoxDesk Cloud privacy policy applies to the managed SaaS service.
When you self-host FoxDesk, you have complete control over all data. We never see, collect, or have access to any data stored in your FoxDesk installation.
Website Data Collection
Our website (foxdesk.net) is a static informational site. We collect minimal data:
- Basic web server logs (IP addresses, browser information, pages visited)
- No cookies are used for tracking
- No third-party analytics services
- No advertising networks
Self-Hosted Instances
When you download and install FoxDesk on your own server:
- You own all data - All customer data, tickets, and user information remain on your servers
- No telemetry - FoxDesk does not send any usage data back to us
- No license keys or activation - No need to contact our servers to use the software
- Complete privacy - We cannot access your instance or your data
Email Communications
If you contact us via email at [email protected], we will retain your email address and message content solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect any information we collect on our website. However, for your self-hosted FoxDesk instance, security is your responsibility as the server operator.
Third-Party Links
Our website contains links to GitHub and other external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites.
GDPR Compliance
Since FoxDesk is self-hosted software, GDPR compliance is the responsibility of the organization operating the FoxDesk instance. Our website collects minimal personal data and does not track users.
